Summary0004115: Cannot install JVCL: JEDI_INC undefined [D7 Ent]
DescriptionTried this on both 3.30 and 3.31. Installing
Downloaded combined 7zip file. Extracted both jcl and jvcl directories. Installed JCL, that worked fine. Tried to install JVCL. The installer runs and starts compiling, but fails while compiling JvCoreD7R, talking about a problem with "ALERT_jedi_inc_incompatible" which I traced back to the jvcl/common/jvcl.inc file. It appears that "JEDI_INC" is not being defined. So it looks to me like the jvcl/common/jedi.inc file is not being included.

Additional note: I really needed JVCL working, so I installed 3.20, and I noticed that in the 3.20 installer, it had a little field showing the autodetected location of JCL. There was no such edit box in 3.30 or 3.31. I don't know if that makes a difference.

if JEDI_INC is not defined it's because somewhere on your hard drive you have a file called jedi.inc that is VERY VERY old and gets used instead. Rename it, remove it, and retry you should be sorted.

ah, found another jedi.inc file in another component set in the search path. renamed and now JVCL installs.
