| Description | I recently updated to XP pro and re-installed everything from scratch. Delphi 6 pro installs OK and runs but after I installed JCL1.90 and JVCL 3.00 it forces a re-boot about 5 secs after the Delphi splash screen appears. Delphi will start OK if I remove references to it from the environment path string but - naturally - it can't then find the JCL/JVCL bits. I seem to remember path issues with delphi running JCL/JVCL before but can't remember what it was. Any ideas? Mike P | ||||

Please use the very latest JVCL 3, that is JVCL 3 RC1 alongside JCL 1.94 RC1 |

I'm now using RC1 and the problem persisted. I've now looked a little deeper and think I've fixed it and it 'seems' to be connected with spaces in the path string delphi is using (specifically to an ATI control panel applet) AND only ever does it after the machine has been hibernated! [Graphics card is ATI 9200SE] I don't think it is - per see - a JCL/JVCL issue, so I guess you can consider it closed/resolved. Odd though :-) |
