Summary | 0003705: JclSysInfo was compiled with a different version of SNMP
Description | Prob newbie issue, when I try to compile an app with any component from the JvComCtrls unit (e.g. JvIPAddress - "Jv Edits" Palette), I get the following error: "[Fatal Error] Unit4.pas(7): Unit JclSysInfo was compiled with a different version of SNMP.PAsnObjectIdentifier" Compiler = Delphi 7.0 Enterprise (Build 8.1) JCL / JVCL Version = JVCL320CompleteJCL197-Build2172.zip OS = Win XP SP2 I've done a full uninstall / re-install of the JCL / JVCL (bpl dir, registry wiped etc) - now banging my head to see what's wrong. Any help appreciated.

Somewhere on your hard drive, you have a file called snmp.pas or snmp.dcu that does not come from the JCL but is used by Delphi before the one from the JCL. Remove or rename this "intruder", or arrange your search paths, and you'll be sorted |

Yeah - that worked. Thank for your advice (and the time and effort) - I can finally stop banging my head against the wall. Cheers, David |
