Summary | 0003938: Installation problem with JCL and delphi 2006 | ||||
Description | Hello Guys, I have run into the problem pasted below. I had an earlier installation on D7 flawlessly working. As the installation doc recommended, I removed the packages from D7 and the registry. Do you guys have any clues. Is there a problem with my BDS 2006 installation (just installed) I get this on my command prompt. Any help greatly appreciated. C:\jedi\jcl>install build.exe found. It seems you did not unzip the package completely, keeping the folder structure. Please do that and try again. |
|
Thanks for your response. The package was actually unzipped properly- folder structure and all. Still a mystery why this would not work. I was able to work around this by installing the files on a different machine and then copied over the packages and manually installed them on the errant box. I should be good for now. Interestingly the JVCL installer did not work either. Please see the contents pasted below from my command window. I am logged in as an admin; D10 pro version on XP pro. There is something very weird with your installation. Do you have read/write access? Is it on a network share? a mounted drive? Is dcc32.exe available? |

A daily snapshot meight help because the updated installer doesn't use makefiles anymore. |
|
I will check out the daily snapshot. I guess this is a problem specific to my machine. I am able to get by for now by manually installing the packages. Thanks for your help. |
