Summary | 0005320: Installed service will not start
Description | The installed service will not start on my Vista Home`premium edition. When I enter wrong database information (database name or password) and error is written to the windows log. When all dat is entered correctly, I just get the message Unable to start service. No log entries. When I try to start the service within windows services it reports had been started, but stopped automatically. Windows also informs me that some service do that when they are not used. When I start a client it repots to me that no server has been found. When I install the server application (not the service) it all works fine.
Additional Information | Windows is patched with the most recent patches. I use Firebird 2.1. IT does not matter if I set dependencies on the Firebird Guardian or Firebird Server or no dependencies, always the same result. Firebird, Jedi VCS are both installed on the same machine. It will not stert indepent if I use a hard path to the firebird or database or through an alias. The server application does both.
