Summary0005673: Error installing JVCL 3,45
DescriptionDuring installation of JVCL 3,45 for D7, D2007 and XE2 on first step when installing JvDlgs70.bpl I got error:

JvJCLUtils.pas[926]: Is this Comparemem function at all necessary?
JvPageSetup.pas[1]: Illegal charcter in input file 'd'($EF)
Fatal: JvDlgs.dpk[86]: Could not compile used unit '..\run\JvPageSetup.pas'

Please help me to resolve this.

 AS. mmm... could u save screenshots in PNG or at least GIF format ? it would not be that huge file then...

i can't find such a byte now there.

Either get fresh SVN version (sourceforge page for the jvcl project -> code, svn -> browse svn -> file -> donwnload).

O try to open file and save it in non-Unicode format.
Maybe Delphi XE2 can do this.
Or some advanced editor like UniRed, SynEdit o Notepad++

PS. and BTW, Hint is not an Error, not even a Warning.

Hello,

3.45 was for XE2 only and some files have been put in it with a UTF-8 BOM that prevent using them under Delphi 7
Two solutions :

1. Change the encoding of the offending file to ANSI, pspad can do it for instance
2. Use the latest SVN content where the problem has been fixed
