| Description | I don't know how many of you have worked on this at all on vista so I don't know if any of you even have access to vista. Basicly when you undock a window and drag it the outline drawn of the window for whatever reason moves/updates very slowly. Now I have confirmed this appears to also be a problem utilizing Delphi's stock docking support. I don't know if anyone else can confirm this or any fixes exist. It only exists when the aero theme is enabled. I know a few other apps written in different languages that appear to be be fine in these situations. Only Delphi apps seem to suffer from this problem. If this happens with the aero theme under vista, then this is because the outline is drawn on the canvas that has 0 (zero) as its handle. This leads to very slow drawing under vista. To fix this, one would need to draw somewhere else, there are resources on the web that show how to do this. |
