Description | FireBird version. I can't install service on server (Win 2k3 PL) with Install service button. Message: "jvcssrv.exe should be in the same directory than jvcssvr.ini" always occurs. | ||||
Additional Information | When version 2.40 RC1 was installed first, and RC2 installed in this same place service start correctly. | ||||

|
jvcssrv.ini file handling was changed from RC1 to RC2. Last accessed ini file is stored in registry and if this location is diffenent than your server exe you'll get this message. To workaround it just move the 'old' ini file to the server exe folder, save the ini file once and from this point everything should be ok also for the future. Be aware that server exe is always installed from the setup under jedi\jvcs\server! If this was in a previous installation in a different location please make sure to use the new default locations, you have to reinstall the server service!! otherwise you'll get problems with every new setup. |
