Which version of the JVCL are you using ? I just tried a simple test project and shortcuts are working. As to large height, I don't get it, the ButtonHeight property cannot be set. I even changed the font size of the TJvToolbar so that the buttons are big, but popups show up where they should. Could you try with the very latest JVCL version and let me know how it goes? |

I use JVCL 3 from anonymous CVS (HEAD). Shortcuts don't work with D5 nor D6 if the JvMainMenu is on JvToolBar. The shortcuts work if you use JvMainMenu without JvToolBar. Thatswhy this issue has the summary "JvToolBar + JvMainMenu issues". I don't mean large ButtonHeight with "items with large height" - I mean submenus with a lot of entries. As you see in the images in 0001670 for the "Server" submenu everything is okay but not for the "Project" submenu. |

Ok. By shortcuts, do you mean stuff like Ctrl+C, or stuff like &File accessed through Alt+F? I've tested the latter (accelerator keys) and it works. I'll test Ctrl+XXX stuff tomorrow and will test a popup with lots of items as well. |
I mean shortcuts (TMenuItem.ShortCut) not accelerators (& in TMenuItem.Caption). |
Shortcuts: Not much I can do, only workaround is actions, as you said. Numerous items: TJvMainMenu (and TMainMenu) by itself displays a very similar bug. As such, I don't think this can even be fixed. Simply put less items in the menu. |
Well if it's not fixable then close this issue. |
Please confirm first that you see the same thing as I see, when using a T(Jv)MainMenu. Only then will I close that issue. |
Indeed using TMainMenu instead of TJvMainMenu does make no difference. |
This is not fixable, simply put less items in the menu. For the shortcuts, please put a feature request if you want to, but it will have low priority. |
