Summary | 0002570: Can't define a "custom" CHARACTER SET with Firebird
Description | Trying to define a diferent character set (e.g. ISO8859_1) to work with (using firebird 1.5) gives "Cannot transliterate character between character sets" errors when assigning any "non ascii" chars on descriptions and so on. The problem is that you can create the "source database" with the char set you desire but there is no way to tell the client (JVCS NT Service) to "use" this same char set.
