The official releases are just renamed daily builds, with just packaging around. As to compatibility, if you use daily's from the same day, they work together, especially during those days as not much development is occuring (summer holidays in the northern hemisphere). We know there were problems with the 3.2 release, but they were fixed shortly after. A 3.30 release is in the works but will not come before september. In the meantime, you could run the installer in Delphi and see why it does not find the JCL, and then report back here about your findings. |

well, something strange happened now. i ran delphi and after that, i was able to install jvcl. you can close this issue. thank you for your help. |

Maybe we should add a check for "Was Delphi started after its installation" to the the Installers. |

is that required/suggested to run delphi after installing JCL? FYI--in all the install/uninstalls of JCL, it wiped out delphi's win32 library paths. the result was that only JCL paths were there. happily i kept a copy from my previous installation of d2006. |
