| Description | Hey Sorry for my beginner english. I'm from poland :) So, I always work in Delphi 7. Now I instaled Delphi 2005 Personal, I want install any Jedi package who support Delphi 2005. I downloaded 3.20. Trying install jcl. I having got error in instalator (instalshield? :D) "Unable to open key HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BORLAND\BDS\4.0\Personalities for read". I have it in any version of Jedi (3.0, 3.10, 3.20, daily). Then I have Access Violation and instalation is crashed. JVCL instalation run OK, but I can't install it without JCL :\ . I remember, when I have only Delphi 7 I don't have any problems with instalation. P.S. I want only component Vingerne Cipher. Who can help me with install it? | ||||

I modified JclBorlandTools.pas. This issue should be solved now. If you use subversion, please update your repository; otherwise you can download daily zips (available at http://jcl.sf.net/daily) - it will contain the modified version tomorrow. |

Now I have new bug :( . So, I downloaded latest daily (2006-05-01 01:34:50). Now instalotr run OK, but when it installing I have this: "C:\PROGRA~1\Borland\BDS\3.0\lib\jcl\packages\d9\JclBaseExpert.dpk Borland Delphi for Win32 compiler version 17.0 Copyright (c) 1983,2004 Borland Software Corporation JclBaseExpert.dpk(41) Fatal: E2202 Required package 'xmlrtl' not found Compilation failure" I uncheck "Debug window for XMM registers", now instalation was finished complete. But when I try install JVCL I have this: "Fatal: JVCoreD9D.dpk(43): E2202 Required package 'xmlrtl' not found" What is xmlrtl? |

Borland didn't ship this file with Delphi 2005, that prevented all design-time package to be compiled. You can download a faked xmlrtl.dcp at http://andy.jgknet.de/oss/kylix/wiki/index.php/Delphi_2005_Personal_Edition_xmlrtl.dcp_fake |
